Copyright Policy

1. Our copyright

KASTOVAI — including its software, source code, design, user interface, text, and branding — is © 2026 KASTOVAIAI. All rights reserved under the Copyright Act (Canada) and applicable international treaties. Nothing on this site grants you any licence to copy, reproduce, decompile, resell, or create derivative works from KASTOVAI or any part of it without our prior written permission. We claim no ownership over the clips you create from content you have the right to use.

2. Your responsibility for content

You may only upload, link, or process content that you own or have the rights to use. Using KASTOVAI to clip or process streams, videos, or audio you do not have permission to use may infringe copyright and violates these terms. You are solely responsible for the content you put through KASTOVAI and for the clips you download, publish, or post.

3. Notice and Notice (Canada)

KASTOVAI operates under Canada's Notice and Notice regime (sections 41.25–41.27 of the Copyright Act). If you are a copyright owner (or act for one) and believe content processed through KASTOVAI infringes your copyright, you may send us a notice of claimed infringement. Where the law requires it, we will forward your notice to the relevant user and retain records as prescribed. Unlike the U.S. "notice and takedown" system, Canadian law does not require us to remove content on receipt of a notice — however, under our Terms of Use we may, at our discretion, remove content and suspend or terminate accounts.

4. What a notice must include

To be valid, a notice of claimed infringement must state, in writing:

1. Your name and address (and that of the copyright owner, if different).
2. The copyrighted work or other subject-matter you claim is infringed.
3. The alleged infringement and the electronic location it relates to (e.g. the clip URL or the account involved).
4. The date and time of the alleged infringement.
5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

5. How to reach us

Please use the subject line "Copyright Notice" so we can act promptly.

6. Repeat infringers

We may, at our discretion, suspend or terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly process or post infringing content.

This policy is provided for transparency and is not legal advice. KASTOVAI uses service providers located outside Canada; if you also serve or receive notices from the United States, you may additionally choose to honour U.S. DMCA notices. The bracketed fields above must be completed.
